Can my jewellery box be placed in a sunny spot?

As with all timber products, it is better not to leave them in direct sunlight for long periods of time.  However, the amount of sunlight normally found in a home will not harm the finish on these products.

How do I move the compartment dividers?

Some compartment dividers are fixed, as in the ring sections, while others can be adjusted depending on the items you are storing – simply carefully twist and reposition where you want.  If you are in any doubt, please contact us and we will assist you.

How do I clean the outside of my jewellery box?

All you have to do to clean off dust or fingerprints is use a clean moist microfiber cloth – no detergent or cleaning agent  is necessary.

What is a piano finish?

A piano finish is a very high gloss lacquer process using multiple coats to create a high quality finish.  In the case of our products it is nine coats.

What is cross-grained timber?

Cross-grained timber is created by multiple layers of timber glued together with alternating timber grains to minimise warping or distortion.

What is bevelled glass?

Bevelled glass is a decorative glass finish that is usually made by taking clear glass and creating a bevel or chamfer on one side around the entire periphery. These bevels act as prisms in the sunlight creating an interesting colour diffraction which both highlights the glasswork and provides a spectrum of colours which would ordinarily be absent in clear float glass.

What is velour?

Velour is a plush, knitted fabric or textile. It is usually made from cotton but can also be made from synthetic materials such as polyester.
